Kiwa hirsuta is a crustacean discovered in 2005 in the South Pacific Ocean. This decapod, which is

approximately 15 cm (5.9 in) long is notable for the quantity of silky blond setae (resembling fur)covering

its pereiopods (thoracic legs, including claws). Its discoverers dubbed it the yeti lobster or yeti crab.

ANZAC FACTS

1. ANZAC stands for Australia, New Zealand Army Corps.

2. The battle took place on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey on the 25th April 1915.

3. The battle lasted 8 months, more than 11,000 died and 23,500 were wounded.

4. ANZAC Day was not a public holiday in Australia or New Zealand until 1921.

5. Poppies are worn on the day as a reminder of the soldiers who fought and died.
